Ryota managed to convince his superior about the attack.

President of Saldonia (I kept thinking of Sidonia instead, if you’re watching that anime, you’d know what I’m talking about) finally flew to Japan for a visit. Kuraki and the gang knew Muroi had the bomb and was planning to stage a terrorist attack.
Miki miraculously crept out of bed despite being shot and lost tons of blood in the previous episode and hunted Muroi down.

Still, I couldn’t believe she fell to his trap.

Despite what he told her about Kuraki’s wife and her own father, I felt she was too weak mentally. So easily swayed and AGAIN…
failed to stop Muroi, WTH. I am done with you, Miki.

So let’s see how many times Shingai was shot.
3 times.
At close range.

Despite Kuraki telling him not to do it, he did anyway.
Ryota managed to save the President’s daughter in time. He was definitely the hero of the show. Despite how little screentime he got, despite how much useless screentime Kuraki got, Ryota was the man of the finale.

Kuraki chased Muroi at some underground pipe system, I hope not the sewer, yuck.
Kuraki was shot twice, still alive and kicking.
Lucky for him, Muroi’s bullets were finished.

MOZU Season 1 Episode 8 and 9
Finally I have some time to continue the review of this drama, the only one left for this season (by that I mean, the shows I’m covering).
Kuraki couldn’t get anything substantial from Muroi who was in charge of the Glarke Alpha mission. The only thing he told Kuraki was that Kuraki’s wife was the sole survivor after the mission failed.

MOZU Season 1 ep08 (848x480 x264).mp4_snapshot_11.05_[2014.06.20_19.56.55]
As much as this scene was pretty much useless, I really liked the shot of both of them in the diner. The whole ambient and colours were nice to look at. Especially this last shot.
I still can’t get over why Kuraki never asked his wife about their daughter and about the mission. I get it if the mission was supposed to be top secret but what about their daughter’s real father?!
MOZU Season 1 ep08 (848x480 x264).mp4_snapshot_12.26_[2014.06.20_19.58.02]
So Kuraki’s wife was ordered (or tricked) into activating the bomb but obviously, that’s not the end of the story. There’s also this whole thing about the Saldonian President’s assassination plan. In fact, I’m getting a bit confused myself.
But I did guess one thing correctly. Muroi was the mastermind behind the bombing. God knows why he wanted to initiate a terrorist attack in Japan.
Muroi wasn’t as clear-cut as we were made to believe he was. Portraying him as a loving father who never fails to visit his bed-ridden daughter and apologizing to Kuraki about his late wife…it’s easy to think of him as a nice person.
MOZU Season 1 ep08 (848x480 x264).mp4_snapshot_25.25_[2014.06.20_20.17.08]
Can I just guess that Kuraki’s daughter is actually Muroi’s?
Episode 8’s highlight for me though, was when Hiromi just waltzed into the police station and stabbed Wakamatsu like nobody’s business.
That drenched makeup with a clown after-effect was both funny and thrilling too.

WTH?! Miki, why didn’t you just SHOOT?! What kind of Public Security police are you???
Of course, I didn’t want Hiromi to die because let’s face it, he’s the only exciting factor in this show. Still that’s just lame. Real lame.
MOZU Season 1 ep09 (848x480 x264).mp4_snapshot_37.17_[2014.06.20_21.38.51]
It’s like the screenwriter couldn’t think of how NOT to kill Hiromi.
I really don’t see the purpose of this Miki character in the show. Maybe it’s not such a bad thing for her to die anyway.
*of course she didn’t die.

I’m actually liking this Higashi guy but he chose to die instead mehhh….at least the way he died was quite beautifully depicted, in its own way.

Not sure if while I watch I understand or I’m getting more confused. In every episode they give new information and they actually clarity some things, however, I feel like I don’t understand. At least we got the Shingai story done – well, partially. But at least we know what’s his idea, still what’s the deal with the PSB….and wasn’t Higashi the negative character?
MOZU Season 1 Episode 7
Kuraki and the others continue their investigation at the crime scene where Shingai Hiromi was being held captive by Higashi’s people and the 3 of them get to the conclusion that Hiromi regained his memories therefore the corps at the scene.
Hiromi goes to a public gym from where he steals clothes and an umbrella, and in the mean time Higashi’s people were following him on CCTV, however at some point they couldn’t locate him on any camera.
Later, after leaving from the crime scene, Kuraki and Osugi meet up to talk about the information they gathered until now. Meanwhile Miki seems to have another nightmare. On another day she receives an anonymous envelop with some files; after receiving the envelope she goes to meet up with Kuraki. When they meet, Miki tells him that she dreams of Daruma (google the legend of Daruma) and asks him if he believe in its legend and Kuraki answers that he indeed believes that the legend it true. After confessing to Kuraki about her nightmares she hands him the envelop she received.
After receiving the envelope with files from the Glarke alpha investigation, Kuraki goes straight to his superior Muroi and asks him to give information about the case and if the case has anything to do with the Daruma because there was a possibility that Chihiro and their daughter may have seen the Daurma in their dreams. Muroi tells Kuraki that he can’t speak about the details of the case however what he can say is that the people who worked within the case have become sick or even died. Then Kuraki asks if everyone who worked on the case saw the Daruma, but Muroi tells him that not everyone, because even normal people could see the Daruma in their dreams. Afterwards Muroi takes Kuraki to visit Rin, a girl held on a hospital bed – Rin is Muroi’s daughter, she was involved in a car accident.
While speaking of the day of Rin’s accident, Muroi advices Kuraki to see the bright future ahead of him and stop being the way he currently is, because that’s what his wife and daughter would’ve wished as well. But Kuraki tells his superior that he doesn’t know how he will live after knowing everything he found out recently and also that he won’t be able to live (normally) until he doesn’t find out what happened with Chihiro and their daughter.
Shingai Hiromi goes to return the photo album Nakajima borrowed from his former middles school. After returning it, the man who was in the office tells Hiromi “It’s been a while”. Confused, Hiromi asks the man if he remembers him, but it seems he thought Hirmoi was Kazuhiko. The conversation continues with the man who remembers the day the siblings came to their school and how one day they found the school rabbits stabbed in the neck – he also says towards Harumi (still thinking that he is Kazuhiko) – he recalls that he apologized about the rabbits(meaning that Kazuhiko took the blame of killing the rabbits), but at the same time the man tells that he always thought that  Kazuhiko was covering for his “sister” (Hiromi) – (which is true since in Hiromi’s memories he was the one who stabbed the rabbits back then). Without noticing Hiromi starts crying.
Still at school, Hiromi remembers about a time when Kazuhiko told Hiromi that shrikes kill because the killing instinct is within them.
While trying to dine, Osugi sees Tsuki at the same location…..by “coincidence” – as they talk Tsuki asks Osugi if he won’t want to lend his power to take out the evil from the PSB. Then Osugi goes to resign from his current position and tells his superior that the PSB is hiding information about the bombing incident. To relieve himself, Osugi finally tells his superior that in exchange for his current position Tsuki offered him another in the Special Investigation Unit therefore from now on he will investigate people like him (the superior) who try to hide things. Before leaving, Tsuki and Miki come to pick Osugi and the 3 drive the car across the street – a few seconds after the former superior of Osugi comes out, takes his car and rushes off and the 3 follow quickly.
Meanwhile Hiromi who was following Higashi around finally meets up with Kuraki (more like Kuraki just sat at the same table). The two exchange what they knew already – mostly because Hiromi didn’t wanted Kazuhiko to remain responsible for everything, but when Higashi was leaving Hiromi wanted to go and kill him, however Kuraki doesn’t let him do so. After Higashi left the restaurant, Hiromi tells Kuraki about the chip that Anthena Security wants and while he has that chip the people from that agency will always come for him.
At the same time, Tsuki, Miki and Osugi continue to follow Osugi’s superior. During their chasing, Osugi asks Tsuki what will he do with Higashi and why he didn’t caught him until now, but Tsuki’s answer shocks Osugi – Higashi is a former PSB agent.
Continuing their conversation, Hiromi shows Kuraki the back of some photos and tells him to choose one because among those photos it’s a one of the mysterious woman. But before choosing one, Hiromi asks Kuraki if he has any other family except for his dead wife, Kuraki replays that he also lost his daughter, making Hiromi think that since now he has nothing to lose he will do anything.
Kuraki asks Hiromi the same thing, and he answers that his mother died while giving birth to him and that he is the one who killed his father. After that Hiromi finally shows Kuraki the picture of the mysterious woman who put the bomb in Kakei’s bag on the day of the explosion, to Kuraki’s shock it was a picture of his wife.

I don’t recommend to anyone to watch this episode during the day. Other than that, this episode was by far the best, not to mention that we finally get to understand more since we got to know more about Shingai and his past, also we got to know what happened on the day of the explosion.
MOZU Season 1 Episode 6
Nakajima and Shingai are still being captive by Nakagawa and his people. Both visible weaken after being tortured by Nakagawa, Shingai apologizes to Nakajima for getting her involved. After a view moments, Nakagawa and his gang appears and continue to torture the two held captive, however, after the continuous shocks, Nakajima seems to have fainted and a doctor (who was part of the gang) tells Nakagawa that he overdid it. After moving Nakajima from the electroshock chair, Nakagawa goes behind Shingai and tells him that she died because he got her involved.
We are taken back to the past, as Shingai’s (the one being held captive) memories of Shingai Kazuhiko and Shingai Hiromi during their childhood, when Hiromi was stabbing a doll. However back to the present day, Tsuki who called his newly made team for a meeting, informs them that they went on a wrong track because all this time they thought that the one who returned and lost his memories was Kazuhiko (a boy) since they knew Hiromi was a girl, however Tsuki tells them that Hiromi and Kazuhiko are both boys, just that Hirmoi is a cross-dresser, and he is the one who returned. (Note: thus the one being captive is in fact the younger brother Hiromi, who they all thought was a girl – Shingai’s little sister who they were looking for in the past episodes).
During biology class, Hiromi stabs a frog (as how the mozu – shrikes normally do) – after class the teacher calls both Hiromi and Kazuhiko to ask why he did such a thing, the reply was short:
Hiromi: “Because I enjoyed it” (stabbing)
Then the teacher asks why would their father give Hiromi a girl’s name and why would he dress him as a girl, to this question Kazuhiko answers the teacher that their father gave his younger brother a girl’s name and dresses him as a girl, because before they were born, their older sister who was also named Hiromi died, thus the father choose one of the twins as the lost Hiromi and it they were to ask the father to change his name to a boy’s name, then the father may chase Hiromi out the house. During the twins’ childhood, Hiromi’s desire to kill was growing day by day, and so he killed their father. Weirdly is that Kazuhiko was always watching and after Hiromi was killing he was the one who covered up everything.
During their high school days, because Hiromi couldn’t control himself, Kazuhiko decided to take request from crime organizations so his younger brother could satisfy his desire, however what the people from the organizations knew was that Kazuhiko was the one doing the killing so he could protect Hiromi’s identity.
In the present time, Miki tells Kuraki and Osugi about the bombing incident day when she was following Kakei to the café (from the first episode) – however she tells them that the woman who was at the table with Kakei wasn’t Hiromi but another woman, and that Hiromi followed him into the café but sat at a different table. After Miki’s part, we are taken back to the same day but from Hiromi’s point of view – apparently he followed Kakei into the café because he wanted to kill him – later thinking that it was a good opportunity to do so when Kakei went to the toilet, Hiromi followed, but didn’t have the chance. When he returned from the toiled, Hiromi saw the woman from Kakei’s table putting something in Kakei’s bag, afterwards Hiromi decides to follow the woman as she was leaving.
Miki says that when the mysterious woman entered a building, Hiromi waited outside for 10 minutes, and after waiting he entered as well. When asked by Kuraki if in the mean time other people got out of the building, she said that various people did but none seemed to be the mysterious woman (however what the viewer sees is that Kuraki’s wife also got out of the building so the mysterious woman may be her, but since Miki didn’t knew she was Kuraki’s wife or the woman from the café she just said that various people got out). As Hiromi followed the woman into the building, when he arrived in a room he found the clothes and the wig of the woman so he rushed back to the café hoping that Kakei may still be there. When he arrived at the café, Kakei was rushing out (looking for the woman I suppose).
Kakei is seen rushing somewhere, and Hiromi follows him close by, and so does Miki without the other two knowing. Arrived at the place where the bombing incident happened (before the explosion) Kakei is seen by Hiromi rushing towards two women and a homeless man who was speaking to them and then is when the explosion happened. (One of the women was Kuraki’s wife, Chihiro). After the explosion Hiromi searched for Kakei’s body so he could take the chip from him (the one that Nakagawa wants now from him so thus he keeps Shingai – Hiromi – captive) – as Hiromi searched for Kakei’s body, the girl who draw the “monster” is seen watching the scene of Hiromi searching through dead bodies.
Kuraki, Osugi and Miki come to the conclusion that what the girl draw was Hiromi during the explosion. After Hiromi found the chip he run away. When Hiromi went back to Kazuhiko, he saw his brother being taken by Akai and his gang (Akai is the one who Shingai – Hiromi – killed in episode 2) –  he decided to follow and see where they were taking Kazuhiko.
Hiromi’s memories takes us back to the day when Kazuhiko was pushed down of a cliff (in episode 1) and while Hiromi was trying to save his brother, the both of them fell into the water. Back to the place where Nakagawa was keeping Shingai Hiromi captive, since he successfully released his hands, Hiromi starts killing Nakagawa and his gang. Afterwards, he runs away and a few moments after the police with Tsuki and his team follow into the place where everything happened.
